My name is Maria. I’m 22 years old. I have experience as a waitress for 2 years. It was restaurant in my home city Kiev.

– What kind of education do you have?
I graduated from National University of Ukraine. Restaurant and hotel faculty. Bachelor degree.

– What is your work experience?
As I mentioned before, I have experience as a waitress for 2 years. It was restaurant in my home city Kiev.
I really liked this place, because of very professional and pleasant team. Also I like to provide good service for customers, advise them regarding menu and see that they are happy with the food and atmosphere of our restaurant.

– What will be your duties/responsibilities?
Greet and escort customers to their tables

• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Inform customers about the day’s specials
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization
• Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
• Follow all relevant health department regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to guests

To be attentive and friendly to guests, to know menu of food and drinks very well and always to be ready to help guests to make the best choice. And to make guests feel happy of food and service atmosphere.

– What are your plans for future?
I want to make career in a well-known international company. Because my intention is to find good company and work there for a long time (several years).

– What was the most embarrassing incident at your previous works and how you solved this problem?
I did not have some embarrassing incidents. I’m trying to be maximum attentive and friendly to the guests to avoid any negative situations.

– Are you willing to work in shifts in the international team?
Yes, it is really interesting to work in International team. It is great experience which I would love to get.

– Are you ready to wear uniform?
Yes, sure.
